ABOUT NICK TOCZEK
An English poet and children's author, he also founded The Little Word Machine, a popular literary journal. His poetry collections include Because the Evenings, God Shave the Queen, and Never Stare at a Grizzly Bear.
He attended Birmingham University, where he studied Industrial Metallurgy. He began publishing poetry during the late 1960s.
He worked as a professional puppeteer and magician.
He married Gaynor Doherty in 1984. He and Doherty later became parents to a son and a daughter.
His work, like that of fellow British author Adrian Henri , spans both poetic and musical genres.
