ABOUT NICLAS HAMMARSTROM

Photographer who is known for specializing in photojournalism throughout Sweden, the US, Canada, and South America. He is known for having covered a range of different cultural and historical events including the siege in Waco and the World Trade Center bombing.

His professional photo career began in 1993 working for the Swedish daily Aftonbladet. After covering several world events and Olympic events, he left photography in 2002 to help in his family business of selling and manufacturing handicap aid tools. In 2010, he sold the company and began working as a freelance photographer again.

He has won several awards for his photography including first place at the News Picture Sweden event for Picture of the Year. He also won the National Press Photographers Association award for non-traditional photojournalism publishing.

He was born and raised in Sweden.

He has photographed numerous fights of Mike Tyson in Las Vegas.
