ABOUT NICO HELMINGER
A Luxembourg-born novelist, poet, dramatist and opera librettist, he is most famous for Kitsch, Kurzgeschichten, Miss Minett und de schantchen, and other works. He lived and wrote in France in Germany, as well as in his native Luxembourg.
He studied drama, German, and linguistics at universities in Vienna and Berlin.
His works often address social themes such as materialism and domestic violence.
His brother, Guy Helminger , wrote Morgen ist Regen, an important dramatic work.
He was a contemporary of German author Herta Muller .
