She also served as the executive producer for the Academy Award Nominated Film, The Trial of the Chicago 7 . She is the co-founder and CEO of Safe Space Pictures, a social impact media company that uses film as a tool for activism.

She began her acting at age 14 and moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue her acting career.

She produced socially conscious documentaries such as Battleground and The 50, which address critical issues like reproductive rights and prison reform. She is also known for her portrayal of portrayed Pretty Xandarian in the 2014 movie, Guardians of the Galaxy .

She was born in Santa Clara County, California.
