ABOUT NIGEL SPACKMAN

Soccer manager and former player who rose to fame as a member of Chelsea FC , Liverpool FC , and other clubs. He became a player-coach for Sheffield United in the late 1990s before taking a managerial position with Barnsley. He has worked as a soccer pundit for Sky Sports and Sports Tonight Live.

He launched his professional soccer career with Andover.

He scored a goal on his debut for Chelsea. He represented Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup.

He has Scottish ancestry through one of his grandfathers.

He and John Burridge have appeared as pundits on Singapore's Football Channel.
