ABOUT NIKKI MCCRAY

Former professional women's basketball player who made three WNBA All-Star teams as a member of teams like the Washington Mystics and Phoenix Mercury. She also won gold medals representing the United States at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. She was indicated into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

She was a dominant guard at the University of Tennessee, winning the Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year award.

She was named Most Valuable Player of the short-lived American Basketball League for the 1996-97 season. She passed away after a battle with breast cancer at the age of 51.

She had a son named Thomas Nikson Penson with Thomas Penson.

She and Crystal Langhorne were both WNBA All-Stars as members of the Washington Mystics.
