Missouri-born actor and singer who earned Tony Awards for his starring roles in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Catch Me if You Can. In 2015, he began playing Kevin Rayburn in the Netflix series Bloodline.
He graduated from Webster University and the University of Alabama before beginning his career as a Broadway performer.
He appeared on such television shows as The Deep End, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , The Good Wife, and Smash. He played Alan Lomax in the biopic A Complete Unknown .
He married Michelle Federer in 2007. His sister, Teresa Butz, was murdered in 2009.
He appeared with Steve Carell in a 2007 film entitled Dan in Real Life .
