ABOUT OLATUNJI YEARWOOD

Trinidadian soca artist often simply known as Olatunji. He first gained widespread fame in 2015 after he won the International Soca Monarch with his single "Ola."

His musical career kicked off when, at the age of sixteen, he began competing in local junior calypso competitions.

He was an active soccer player in high school and went on to complete a degree in performing arts at the West Thames College of Performing Arts.

His mother, Mairoon Ali, was a Trinidadian actress and comedian. He has an older half-brother named Aka Ali. He was born from his mother's second marriage to Eddie Yearwood.

Both he and Kevin Lyttle gained fame as popular soca artists.
