ABOUT OLIVIER THEYSKENS

Known for his work for such prominent fashion labels as Theory, Rochas, and Nina Ricci, this Belgian designer was a 2006 recipient of the Council of Fashion Designers of America's International Award.

After briefly studying fashion design at L'École de la Cambre in Brussels, he began his own, Gothic-influenced fashion line and went on to design costumes for Brussels' Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie.

His celebrity clients include Jennifer Aniston , Jennifer Lopez , and Nicole Kidman .

He grew up in Brussels, Belgium, as the son of a French mother and a Belgian engineer father.

In 1998, the American pop singer Madonna arrived at the Academy Awards wearing a dress designed by Theyskens.
