Younger brother of rapper Omarion who is a recording artist himself, having released a self-titled album in 2004 that was made for a teen pop audience. He followed it up with his 2010 single "American's Most Wanted." His music fame has led him to gain a significant following on his sonnieoryan Twitter account.

He grew up in a musical family.

He was expected to release a new album in 2011 titled Ocean's O. He was featured in the straight-to-dvd movie Dr. Dolittle 3. He has also appeared in the music video for Jhené Aiko 's song, Spotless Mind.

His parents are Leslie Burrell and Trent Grandberry. He has a daughter named Namiko Love Browner with Jhene Aiko .

He portrayed Michael Jackson in a play in Los Angeles.
