ABOUT PANYAZA LESUFI

Politician who was the became the MEC of Education in 2014. In 2019, he was moved to become the MEC for Finance and e-Government.

He studied at the University of Natal, and holds a master's degree in business administration.

A political activist since his school days, he was involved in multiple grassroots movements that saw him in Modderbee Prison and Durban City Prison.

He was born in Edenvale, where his parents were forcefully removed from during the notorious Group Areas Act. They were relocated to Tembisa.
