ABOUT PAPE DAOUDA DIONG

Professional defensive midfielder and athlete that signed his first club contract as a teenager with Chelsea FC in the year 2024. Prior to signing with Chelsea, he played for the Senegalese men's national team. As a member of Team Senegal, he played in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

As a young boy coming up, he played for AF Darou Salam. He also played for the Senegalese youth national team as a kid.

He made his official international team debut while playing against Rwanda on the date of September 9, 2023. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Whilst playing at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, He reportedly had the highest percentage (85.2%) of defensive duels won in the group stage. He's quite tall for his age, standing at 6'3".

Growing up, he lived with his family in Dakar, Senegal.

He played alongside Kalidou Koulibaly as a member of the Senegalese men's national team in the year 2023.
