ABOUT PAQUITO D'RIVERA

Multi-instrumentalist and winner of multiple Grammy Awards.

He started playing with the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba at a very young age.

He once criticized Carlos Santana for donning a Che Guevara shirt due to Guevara having been involved in the wrongful execution of many counter-revolutionaries, like D'Rivera's cousin.

He left his wife and child in Cuba when he fled in the 1980s and promised to send for them.

He has performed with many crossover artists, including Yo-Yo Ma .
