ABOUT PATRICK BAUDRY
The second French-born astronaut, he participated in a 1985 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery mission.
He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the French Air Force.
He flew as a payload specialist on STS-51-G, his only space mission.
He had two children with his first wife.
He and fellow astronaut Leopold Eyharts both began their aviation careers as members of the French Air Force.
