Patrick James Higgins

ABOUT PATRICK JAMES HIGGINS

Professional first baseman and utilityman that was drafted by the Chicago Cubs during the 12th round of the 2015 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Old Dominion University . During his junior season, he was named to the second team All-Conference USA.

He originally began his professional career playing for the AZL Cubs. After 21 games with the AZL cubs, he was eventually promoted to the Eugene Emeralds.

He made his professional debut with the rookie ball AZL Cubs in 2015. He also played for the Low-A Eugene Emeralds.

He grew up living with family in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He also has a sister named, Kasey.

He credits Derek Jeter as being one of his favorite baseball players ever.
