He had his first acting role at age 11 in the 1950 film, Rio Grande.
He won a 1958 Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
He was married to Peggy Hunt from 1965 to 1978. He married Misha Anderson in 1999.
He is the second son of acting legend John Wayne .
