ABOUT PAUL HECKINGBOTTOM
Retired defender and soccer coach best known for his time coaching Sheffield United. He played in the Football League One play-offs in 2004 and 2005. He was awarded EFL Championship Manager of the Month in August and September of 2022 and April of 2023.
He attended Leeds Beckett University. He started his professional career in 1993 with the Manchester United youth team.
He was a player on the club teams Sunderland, Scarborough, Hartlepool United, Darlington, Norwich City, Bradford City, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Mansfield Town. He coached the teams Barnsley, Leeds United, and Hibernian.
He is from Barnsley, England. He married Claire Heckingbottom. He has five children Archie, Marcie, Connie, Elsie, and Alice.
