ABOUT PAUL NICKLEN

Canadian award-winning photographer, filmmaker, speaker, and conservationist best known for his work as a National Geographic photographer. His personal Instagram page has more than 7 million followers.

At a young age, his family moved to Baffin Island, a small town of nearly entirely indigenous Inuit people.

He is a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers and offers online master classes in photography. He co-founded the company Sea Legacy.

His parents were a teacher and a mechanic. He has a brother named Aaron.

He founded Sea Legacy, an ocean conservation foundation, with fellow photographer Cristina Mittermeier .
