ABOUT PAULO FONSECA

Professional soccer manager, former soccer player, and former athlete who is recognized for his work with the Serie A team AC Milan . He has previously coached for both Sporting Clube de Braga and FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

He played for the Portuguese club Barreirense in the year 1991.

He began his coaching career after retiring from the roster of Estrela Amadora in the year 2005. He has showed a preference of the 4-2-3-1 formation as a soccer coach. He stands six feet, two inches tall and used to play the position of center-back in his playing days.

He and Katerina Ostroushko have a son.

He has named fellow coach Pep Guardiola as one of his major influencer.
