ABOUT PAYTON SMITH

American singer-songwriter known for his eclectic brand of country music. He first rose to fame for his 2019 self-titled debut EP. His musical influences include Keith Urban , John Mayer , Pearl Jam , and Clint Black .

He has cited Keith Urban's performance at the CMA awards as an early influence on his decision to pursue a career in music. He began teaching himself to play the guitar at the age of ten.

His debut EP reached the top 20 of the Apple Music charts on its first day after being released. He was selected by CMT as one of 17 promising new artists to watch for 2020.

He has three younger brothers. In 2021, he married singer-songwriter Hannah Smith. In September 2024, they announced they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed their daughter, Sunnie Lynn Smith, in February 2025.

He has shared the stage with Danielle Bradbery .
