German-born American actress with a long career of guest-starring roles in numerous notable television series. She landed her first major recurring role as Ruby's Abuela in the series On My Block .
She began her acting career with film credits in Rabbit Test (1978) and Penitentiary II (1982). Before appearing on screen, she started her acting career on stage.
She has been a guest-star in shows such as The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story , The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story , Andi Mack , How to Get Away with Murder , Dexter and numerous others.
She was born in Karlsruhe, Germany.
She plays the abuela of Jason Genao in the series On My Block.
