Popular voice actor best known for bringing life to the character of Optimus Prime on the animated series The Transformers.
He earned his first voice acting role as an announcer on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1967.
He has also voiced animated characters on The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, G.I. Joe, and Ghostbusters.
He has two sons, Clay and Angus, and two daughters, Claire and Pilar.
He voiced Optimus Prime in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), which starred Shia LaBeouf .
