ABOUT PETER DRURY

English soccer commentator known for working for ITV Sport from 1998 to 2012. He became famous for his expressive and poetic style of commentary. In June 2023, he began as a sports commentator for Sky Sports and NBC Sports, and served as their lead commentator for the Premier League.

As a child, he supported West Ham United F.C. .

He started his media career with sports journalism agency Hayter's. He later worked for BBC Radio Leeds.

He married Vicky Drury. They had three children.

Among his most famous lines was, "A mere, supernatural goal from Lionel Messi . He has wriggled and tipped toed his way to the gates at Wembley Stadium."
