Kenyan politician who was first elected as a Member of Parliament in 2002. He came to politics from the private sector, having held such positions as the chairman of the Kenya Football Federation and director of the Industrial Development Bank.

He attended the boys-only school Starehe Boys' Centre and School in Nairobi, Kenya.

He ran for President of Kenya in 2013.

He married a woman named Anne. He has children named Andrew and Andrea.

He was beaten by Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 Kenyan presidential election.
