ABOUT PETER NDLOVU
Retired soccer player remembered as a striker for teams like Birmingham City, where he played from 1997 to 2001. He later became a manager and assistant manager for teams like the Mamelodi Sundowns and the Zimbabwean national team.
He was born in Bulawayo and began his career with Highlanders FC in 1988.
He was involved in a car accident in 2012 in which his brother, Adam, and another passenger were killed. He was charged with culpable homicide but was later acquitted.
He brothers, Adam and Madinda, also played soccer at the international level.
He has coached and played for Mamelodi Sundowns, who are owned by billionaire Patrice Motsepe .
