ABOUT PETER NYGARD

Entrepreneur who gained fame as the founder of women's apparel company Nygård International. He finished in the top 100 of the richest Canadians in 2009 as ranked by Canadian Business Magazine.

He earned a business degree from the University of North Dakota in 1964.

His Bahamian compound known as Nygård Cay hosted various high profile celebrities, including Michael Jackson . He has maintained corporate facilities for Nygård International in New York City, Winnipeg, and Toronto. He was arrested on various crimes, including racketeering, in December 2020.

His mother's name was Hilkka.

He hosted Prince Andrew, Duke of York at his Nygård Cay compound in the Bahamas.
