He has competed competitively at badminton since age 12. He studied accounting and finance at the University of Edinburgh , where he also served as president of the badminton club.
His parents' names are Morag and John. He also has a brother named Andrew.
He baked for judge Prue Leith during his time on The Great British Bake Off.
