Petros Matheus

ABOUT PETROS MATHEUS

Known mononymously as Petros, he is a versatile midfielder and winger who joined Betis in 2015. His longest previous tenures with a team include 62 appearances with Boa Esporte and 36 appearances with Coninthians, the first 12 being on loan from Penapolense.

He graduated through the Vitoria youth system in 2008, but never made an appearance in his senior career with Vitoria. He was loaned to Democrata SL and Rio Branco-ES between 2008 and 2010.

He signed a 4 year contract with Real Betis in June 2015.

His full name is Petros Matheus dos Santos Araújo and he was born in Juazeiro, Brazil.

He and Felipe Gutiérrez played midfield for Real Betis on the same squad.
