ABOUT PHIL LYNOTT
Irish vocalist and bassist who fronted the hard rock band Thin Lizzy. He also had a successful solo artist.
He fronted his first band, The Black Eagles, at age 16.
He was best known for Whiskey in the Jar and The Boys are Back in Town, both top 10 hits in the 1970s.
He married Caroline Crowther in 1980. The couple had two children, Sarah and Cathleen.
He performed with guitarist John Sykes during his time with Thin Lizzy.
