Professional center that was traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 2016. He made his NHL debut on November 22, 2014 during a 7-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers .
He was selected 26th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
On December 22, 2018, he recorded his first career NHL hat-trick during a 4-3 overtime victory against the Vegas Golden Knights .
He is a native of Victoriaville, Quebec. He and his wife, Marie-Pierre Danault, were married in July 2018. In February 2019, they welcomed their first child, Phillip-Édouard.
He played alongside Paul Byron as a member of the Montreal Canadiens during the 2020-21 NHL season.
