ABOUT PIETER-STEPH DU TOIT

South African professional rugby player who is known for playing as a lock or flanker for both the South Africa national rugby team and Toyota Verblitz of the Japanese rugby union. He played on the South Africa national team as they took home the 2019 World Cup.

He attended Hoërskool Swartland for school and played rugby during his attendance. He has played rugby professionally since 2012 when he signed with the South African club The Sharks.

After South Africa's win at the 2019 World Cup, he was named as the player of the year.

He grew up on his family's vineyard in Riebeek Kasteel, near Cape Town, South Africa.

For the South Africa national team's World Cup win, he played with Steven Kitshoff .
