Portia Woodman

ABOUT PORTIA WOODMAN

Professional rugby player and athlete known for playing fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side rugby union. She is a member of both the New Zealand Women's Sevens team and New Zealand Women's National Rugby Union team.

She played netball for the Northern Mystics before switching to rugby union in 2012.

In 2016, she competed in Rugby Sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was selected in the Black Ferns Sevens squad at the 2018 Commonwealth Game. In 2022, she became the first woman to score 200 tries in the Sevens Series.

She is the daughter of former All Blacks player Kawhena Woodman. She has siblings named Dalton and Baden. She bas been in a relationship with Renee Wickliffe .

She has been teammates with fellow Rugby player Kayla McAlister .
