ABOUT PRIYAM GARG

Indian right-handed top-order batsman, cricketer, and athlete who is best known for his technical proficiency, calm temperament under pressure, and natural leadership qualities. His ability to anchor innings and rotate strike efficiently makes him a dependable presence at the crease, while his captaincy at the Under-19 level showcased his tactical maturity and team-first mindset.

At just six years old, he began playing the sport, often watching matches at a local shop due to the family's inability to afford a television.

His father enrolled him in the Victoria Park cricket academy in Meerut and traveled by bike 40 kilometers to ensure his son could attend practice. In December of 2019, he was appointed captain of India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, leading the team to the finals. His leadership during the tournament was widely recognized.

He comes from a supportive family; his father, Naresh Garg, is a health worker, and his mother, Kusum Devi, is a homemaker. He has three sisters: Pooja, Jyoti, and Reshu, and an elder brother, Shivam.

He has worked alongside athletes like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi .
