ABOUT RACHEL SMITH
Rhythmic gymnast best recognized as the captain of Team Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics. The accomplished performer has also competed for Britain at the European and World championships.
She started training in gymnastics at the wee age of six and not long after was scouted by a local gymnastics club. By eight, she was on the performance squad and by nine had her first international competition.
She competed in both individual and group events at the 2012 London Olympics.
Originally from Wyken, Coventry, she later settled in Bath, England.
Both she and Hannah Whelan competed in gymnastics for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
