ABOUT RAJESH HAMAL
Winner of over 11 National Film Awards for Best Actor who has become known as "Maha-Nayak," which means Great Hero. The 1991 film, Deuta, made him a superstar and brought him much acclaim.
He attended Chandigarh University and earned a BA in English Literature.
A wall of bricks fell upon him while filming a stunt for the 1994 film, Sadak. It took five months for him to recover from internal bleeding.
He married Madhu Bhattarai in 2014.
He and Manisha Koirala were both Nepali actors celebrated for their contributions to cinema.
