ABOUT RAMON VALDEZ

Woodworking carpenter who is also an entrepreneur who started his own company Ramon Valdez Fine Furniture. Specializing in desks, tables, doors, and a range of other wooden creations, his works are featured in galleries, exhibitions, and in the offices and homes of different clients. His ramonartful Instagram account has earned over 100,000 followers.

He first began his professional furniture business in 1998. In 2005, he began training under Craig Vandall Stevens. In 2006 he studied under Michael C, Fortune at Anderson Ranch in Aspen, Colorado.

He has won multiple awards for his creations including first place honors in the specialists category of the Craftsman's Challenge in 2006 for his "Flight of Fancy" marquetry box. He also won the Honorable Mention award in the Design Portfolio Awards sponsored by CWB Magazine.

He was born and raised in New Mexico. He married DeYan and together they have two boys Darren and Derek.
