ABOUT RAY KERR

Left-handed relief pitcher that was first signed by the Seattle Mariners as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017. A few years later, he was acquired by the San Diego Padres via trade in November 2021.

He graduated from Hug High School in 2013. In college, he played baseball for Mendocino College and later Lassen College. He initially began his professional career playing for the Clinton LumberKings. He pitched in 25 games with the team before being promoted.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 24, 2022. He pitched just one inning and collected one strikeout. In 2017, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Peninsula Oilers. During this time, his fastball reached 93 miles per hour.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Sacramento, California area.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Adam Frazier .
