Best known for her roles in The Flying Doctors and Packed to the Rafters, the latter of which earned her a Gold Logie Award.

She describes herself as an 'odd' child who resembled The Addams Family's Wednesday Adams.

She has appeared in Salem's Lot and Nightmares & Dreamscapes, both of which are adaptations of Stephen King novels.

She was formerly married to Southern Sons singer Irwin Thomas.

She co-starred with James Mason in the television adaptation of Salem's Lot.
