ABOUT RENATA SORRAH

Multi award-winning actress notoriously famous for her role as villainess Nazaré Tedesco in the telenovela Senhora do Destino (Her Own Destiny). She has starred in additional telenovelas, including A Indomada, Walking the Clouds, Um Anjo Caiu do Céu, and Two Faces. She has also appeared in several feature films, such as Madame Satã, Executive Order, and Dente por Dente.

She studied dramatic arts after joining a cultural exchange program which allowed her the opportunity to move to Los Angeles in 1964. She made her professional acting debut 4 years later, in the 1968 drama film A Vida Provisória.

Photos of her playing Nazaré Tedesco in a scene from Senhora do Destino turned into the "Math Lady/Confused Lady" meme, which became a viral sensation in the early 2010s.

She is the daughter of Miriam Leonardo Pereira and Peter Sochaczewski. She was married to actor Carlos Vereza from 1969 to 1971. She then married director Marcos Paulo, with whom she has one daughter. She divorced Paulo in 1984 and married Euclydes Marinho from 1986 to 1991. In 2023, she announced that she was bisexual. She is the aunt of Brazilian actress Deborah Evelyn .

She co-starred on the award-winning telenovela Senhora do Destino (Her Own Destiny), along with Susana Vieira , José Mayer and Carolina Dieckmann .
