He began acting at age nine, and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, at age 14 to become a professional actor.
He gained fame by playing Alec Ramsay in Adventures of the Black Stallion, which aired on The Family Channel in the early '90s.
He was born and raised in St. Asaph, Wales. He has a sister named Becky.
Like voice actor Sean Schemmel , he became known for voicing English dubs of Japanese animated series.
