ABOUT RICHARD LAWSON
African American actor who gained film fame in the 1982 cult classic film, Poltergeist. His other films include Black Listed, Scream Blacula Scream, and Wag the Dog. He has accumulated over 120 acting roles throughout his long career.
He had his first uncredited role in the 1971 classic film Dirty Harry.
He became known for his recurring television roles on All My Children and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. He played Bill Pierce in multiple episodes of Grey's Anatomy .
His one-year marriage to Denise Gordy began in 1978. In April 2015, he married Tina Knowles . She filed for divorce in 2023.
He co-starred in Michael Mann 's 1979 TV movie, The Jericho Mile.
