ABOUT RICHARD MURRAY

Dutch-South African triathlete who won the Junior ITU Duathlon World Championships in 2007 and 2008, was the Under-23 African champion in both triathlon and duathlon in 2010, and was the elite African triathlon champion in 2011 and 2012.

In the year 2007, he graduated from Fairmont High School. In 2010, he graduated from Sports Conditioning & coaching at eta stellenbosch.

He scored his first win in the ITU World Triathlon Series in Hamburg in the year 2012. He has been a brand ambassador for BMC Switzerland since January of 2019. He won the Grand Final of the World Triathlon Series in Chicago in the year 2015 and the ITU Duathlon World Championships in Asturias in the year 2016.

He has been married to Rachel Klamer since March 2020. His brother is Andrew Murray.

In August 2023, he posted an Instagram video set to the song "Shots" by Imagine Dragons .
