ABOUT RICHARD B. PELZER

Author and speaker who is known for his New York Times bestselling memoir, A Brother's Journey, which is an account of the abuses he was subjected to as a boy. His brother, David Pelzer, also wrote about their traumatic childhood, though they have disagreed about things in public confrontations.

He was born in San Francisco and suffered a childhood of abuse.

He wrote a sequel to A Brother's Journey that is entitled A Teenager's Journey.

He grew up with five brothers. In his adulthood, he married and had four children of his own.

His brother, Dave Pelzer , published his own bestselling memoir, A Child Called "It."
