Richie Barnett
ABOUT RICHIE BARNETT
Professional rugby player whose career spanned the 1990s and the aughts. He played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and later for the Sydney Roosters. After the end of his NRL career, he went on to play for the London Broncos, which is a Super League team. He suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which he blamed for his retirement.
He played in the 1192 Pacific Cup for the New Zealand/Maori team.
After his career as an athlete ended, he became a columnist for The New Zealand Herald.
He was born in Auckland, NZ.
