He worked as a street performer and stand-up comedian before landing a role in the 1981 action comedy film The Cannonball Run.
He was born on the same date as actor Harry Anderson of Night Court fame.
His sister, Angel Aviles, is an actress and director. His brother, Rod Reyes, is a stand-up comedian.
He shared the screen with Patrick Swayze , Demi Moore , and Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost.
