ABOUT RICK NIELSEN

Lead guitarist, songwriter, and a backing vocalist for the rock group Cheap Trick .

His first bands were Grim Reapers, Nazz, and Fuse. He and Tom Petersson formed Cheap Trick in the early 1970s.

A local museum put his entire collection of guitars on display for one of their exhibits.

He grew up around Rockford, Illinois, where he is still one of the most beloved citizens.

Ben E. Carlos played the drums for Cheap Trick.
