ABOUT RICK RECHT
Jewish rock musician who performed nationally at festivals, Jewish summer camps, and special events. He released the album Tear Down the Walls in 2006.
Exposed to Jewish culture at a young age, he deepened his religious upbringing at Jewish camps.
He performed in front of 30,000 people at the Los Angeles Jewish Festival and collaborated with an African-American student chorus on several songs about freedom from slavery.
He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.
He and an African-American choir sang the protest song "We Shall Overcome" at an event on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
