ABOUT RICKY SANDERS

Former NFL wide receiver who made history with the Washington Redskins by totaling 193 yards and two touchdowns in Super Bowl XXII.

He played two seasons on the USFL's Houston Gamblers before making his NFL debut in 1986.

He was named to the 70 Greatest Redskins list after his 7-year career with the team.

He married Sharon Saunders in 1987.

He played a pivotal role in Doug Williams winning MVP honors in Super Bowl XXII.
