ABOUT RILEY O'BRIEN

Former eighth rounder that was originally taken by the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2017 Major League Draft. Just a few years later, he was then traded to the Cincinnati Reds in August 2020. Since then, he has pitched within the Seattle Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals organizations.

He initially began his collegiate baseball career at Everett Community College. After two seasons, he then transferred to the College of Idaho.

As a member of the Cincinnati Reds, he made his official major league debut while facing the Chicago White Sox on September 28, 2021. Unfortunately, he allowed two solo home runs in just 1.1 innings pitched.

He lives along with his wife, Chellyn, and their family. They first got married in the year of 2023.

He played alongside Miles Mikolas as a member of the Cardinals during the 2025 MLB regular season.
