Rinus Michels

ABOUT RINUS MICHELS

Professional forward and coach who is remembered for playing for the Dutch organization AFC Ajax. He spent his entire pro career with the organization and later transitioned into a managerial role.

He became a member of Ajax's youth division in 1940.

In 1944, his career was stalled due to the Dutch famine. He made five appearances with the Netherlands national team between the years of 1950-1954.

He was born in Amsterdam. He was married to Will Hulsbosch up until his death in 2003.

Both he and Dusan Tadic have played for AFC Ajax.
